Always Count Your Wins!

Let’s face it, the world can be very negative and draining at times. We are forced to deal with people that are negative, demanding, self centered, controlling, and some of the people that we have to deal with are just downright evil! The newspaper and televised news will make it a point to remind us just how bad things are.

The good thing about this world is that while crazy things are happening, good things are constantly happening too. Using a real estate quote that I heard a while back: “Bad leads can distract you from the good leads”. And that’s how life can be IF WE LET IT.

At the end of the day, we have a CHOICE as to what we focus on. We can choose to focus on the terrible things going on in the world, or we can choose to focus on the positive. We can choose to focus on goals that benefit the greater good, or we can choose to not set goals at all. We can choose to complain about everything, and we can choose to celebrate the small victories.

Don’t get me wrong, sometimes if fun to complain; and sometimes therapeutic, however it can also be counter productive when we choose to complain to the wrong people. I really appreciate the relationships that I have in my life (definitely a win there), because I have several people that I can constructively complain to whenever I need to get something off my chest.

I also appreciate all of the great opportunities that I’m consistently blessed with. It’s a beautiful thing to know that people are spreading the world about the work that Team Woods is doing (another win). We’re working hard to make a difference and it’s really starting to show (another win).

When I focus on my wins, I get excited. I forget about all of the terrible things going on. Even when I’m reminded of the terrible things, I don’t get too upset because of the high that I have from winning. I see a lot of challenges on the internet, but I’ve never seen a “count your wins” challenge. So today I challenge you all to count your wins! I also challenge you start each day off counting your wins.

Comment back and tell us about some of your wins, we love to hear positive stories from our team! Until next time, keep winning and make it a great day!

~Matthew
