Be Inspired

Being inspired is an amazing feeling, especially when the inspiration comes from something or someone close to us. When we’re inspired, we walk differently, we talk differently, we feel differently, and most importantly we think differently. When we’re inspired, we’re not thinking negatively about anything; we look at the day and say: Bring it!

Being inspired gives us the mindset to achieve great things in life. I think it’s impossible to do great things without being inspired. And let’s not confuse motivation with inspiration, motivation is what will help get us out of bed in the morning; inspiration is what helps keep us up late at night working towards a goal.

The most unstoppable person in the world is a highly motivated and inspired person!

Are you that unstoppable person? Would you consider yourself to be a highly motivated and inspired person? If you can’t answer “yes” to the question quickly, know that it’s not the end of the world, so don’t worry! Becoming a highly motivated and inspired person doesn’t have to be hard. It’s just a matter of putting yourself around the right people that will inspire you.

The solution is just that simple, because how can you take on the world if you feel that the world is against you. Family and Friends can be some of the most energy zapping, negative, and demotivating creatures on the planet, and if you interact with that kind of energy too much you’ll become one of them.

So what do we do if we don’t have friends and family who are an inspiration to us? What if we’ve never been good at meeting the kind of people that want to see us do better? What if we have problems connecting with others? What if the people we meet all seem to try to take advantage of us? Here are my thoughts of what we can do….

  1. Believe: Believe in your heart that there are people out there that want to see you do well.

  2. Have Faith: Have Faith that you can and will be inspired to find and do the things that you love to do.

  3. Stop Doubting: Stop doubting your abilities

  4. Reconnect: Reconnect with yourself; think about all of your accomplishments both big and small and remember that if you did something great once, you can do something just as great a second time.

  5. Research: Read books and go online to read about highly motivated-inspired people who had it worse than you.

  6. Choose your audience wisely: Stop telling negative people your problems.

  7. Make it fun: Find the humor in everything and then laugh at it.

  8. Change: As Ashley commented the other day, Change your mind. We have the ability to change our mind, so we use this feature as needed.

  9. Reflect: Think about exactly what it is that you want to become and then repeat steps 1-8.

We all can get to feeling down and out sometimes, even the wealthiest people in the world have bad days. I think the difference between those that are inspired and not, is that the inspired won’t allow the bad times to kill their inspiration. The worst thing to do when you fall, is stay down while focusing on how you got there. When you get knocked down, get up quick, and keep pushing!

The following is a video of one of my favorite movie scenes from The Great Debaters; I find the scene inspiring. Hope that you will do, I also hope that you’ll make it a great day! Be inspired!
