One Habit Away From Greatness
Excuse all of the questions, but these are just some of the things I asked myself after reading Chapter 6. It’s all about the importance of discipline in order to form new habits. And I’m sure we can all agree that forming good new habits is vital to our continued growth and success.
Most habits can’t be formed overnight, although some habits can. For instance, if we meet someone and something we say causes a negative reaction, we quickly learn not to bring up the topic again. On the other hand, habits like drinking a gallon of water every day takes a lot of discipline, if you’re barely drinking 8 ounces a day as it is.
Habits are the little things that cause us to fail or succeed in life. I think it’s very important for us to identify the habits that we need to develop in order to reach our goals. It’s also crucial that we analyze our current habits that are keeping us from reaching our goals.
Life is a journey; great things typically don’t happen overnight, and great things certainly won’t happen if we don’t put ample time and energy into it. As with all journeys, they start one step at a time. So use today to make at least one step toward your greatness, ya dig?
