Who's the dummy now?

Major Payne is like a comedic leadership movie, essentially the entire movie is about "Major Payne" developing as a leader with a lot of help from his love interest Emily Walburn... while at the same time his job was to help his unit discover and develop their leadership skills as well.
What makes the movie interesting is that none of the "leaders in development" wanted to change; they were all content with not growing, and simply doing the things the way that they've always done them.
One of my favorite scenes in the movie happens when Major Payne is ordering his "leaders in development" to go through a muddy obstacle course during a heavy downpour; the group was tired, cold, wet, and ready to quit.
That's when one of the guys from the unit (Cadet Alex Stone) tries to put a stop to Major Payne's orders, but Major Payne wasn't having that.... so he pulls out a grenade and starts counting. All of the members of the unit started running, except for Cadet Stone.
Cadet Stone yells to his group "It's just a dummy grenade", and seconds later Major Payne throws the grenade and it explodes; then Major Payne says: "Who's the dummy now?" Freakin' Hilarious!
Outside of this being one of the funniest scenes in the movie, it's also an educational one that can be adequately compared to real life. Oftentimes, we call our leaders dumb or stupid just because they're not doing what we think they should be doing, or acting who we think they should be acting (the key word is OFTENTIMES).
For a team member or follower to call a leader stupid or dumb, just because they're not doing what we want them to do, is vey stupid and dumb! It's stupid and dumb because you're not the leader...and because you have proven yourself to be smart enough to get the leader to try things your way.
And what's even worse, is that "oftentimes" we won't even try to understand the leader's reasoning before calling him or her names. I think that's the epidemy of stupid and dumb.
The Great Les Brown tells a story about how he would call one of his old bosses dumb, and he said that one day his wife got tired of hearing him call the boss names so she asked him: "If he's so dumb, why does he sign your check?".
Brown then makes a joke and says: "Now y'all see why I divorced her?"
The thing is, you can "not like someone, and you can even hate them", but that doesn't make them dumb; I think that the sooner that accept this fact to be true, the sooner we will start to see more productive results all around us.
Who's the dummy now?
I consider Major Payne to be a great movie that could be watched with with the family, but judge for yourself....
